User Experience (UX)

The User Experience (UX) working group works on community building, knowledge sharing and collaboration on the broad spectrum of UX activities within university libraries.

Goal

The User Experience working group aims at providing a community for librarians who are involved in UX activities. The group shares knowledge about UX techniques, tries to identify where collaboration is possible, and facilitates training courses. It wishes to provide a solid foundation for User Experience in libraries.

Activities

Twice a year, the working group organises a meeting day based on a specific theme. In addition, it sends out a few newsletters every year, which can be found in the UKB Teams environment. This is also where other documents are shared and where any questions can be asked.

Members

At the moment, the UX working group has the following three permanent members:

Henrietta Hazen – Maastricht University (contact person)
Larissa Tijsterman – University of Amsterdam
Stein Brugman – Leiden University

The UX working group aims to appoint a permanent contact person for each University Library. Until that has been achieved, it is making use of a mailing list/community which is open to anyone who is interested.
