Open and Online Education Libraries working group

Goal

The Open and Online Education Libraries working group (B-OOO) is a low-threshold partnership of staff from university libraries, university of applied science libraries and SURF. We focus on strengthening the role of libraries in supporting education and the development of open online education and open online educational materials.

We pass on knowledge and skills through workshops and meetings. In this way, we can better support teachers in developing, sharing and reusing digital educational resources. We want to use smart techniques to make learning materials easier to find. In this way, we try to keep our knowledge up to date as far as possible.

The working group has good international connections through SPARC Europe.

Our sub-group ‘Managing e-Content Bottlenecks’ makes an inventory of the challenges around the purchase and use of e-textbooks. It explores opportunities to raise awareness of this and explores how cooperation within Europe can be improved.

For more information and the current offer of the workshop, please visit the website of the Open and Online Education Libraries working group (in Dutch).
